We are committed to safeguarding your private information online. We will only collect, store and use your personal information to be able to fulfill your orders, deal with any queries or aftercare issues, or for marketing. Placing an order and your personal information

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

How we use this personal data

All the information we collect via the Website or through correspondence (including emails) with you is used to deliver the products you have ordered, to personalize your service, and ensure that any issues you have after ordering are taken care of.

Receiving marketing emails

You may choose to sign up to THERAV and be sent details of new products, discounts, or other news we think might interest you. You can sign up for this service here. In addition to your name and email address, we may also collect your date of birth so that we can send you special birthday offers.

If you have bought goods from us before, or your details were on our database before May 2018, we may also use our legitimate interests to market to you by email. We will always take care to make sure that these emails are not too frequent or wordy and that you can unsubscribe to them easily.

Sharing your personal data

We may disclose your information in order to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions or to protect the rights, property or security of others. If you have ordered the product from us, this includes exchanging information with Wix/ Shopify as the service provider who runs our Website, Stripe/ PayPal in order to process your payment, UPS/ USPS / FedEX / DHL to deliver your goods, and warehouse where our goods are stored.

When we send marketing emails, we will share your email address, date of birth, country of residence, and name with Mailchimp, whose software allows us to tailor our marketing to you.

We will only provide these companies with the information they need to carry out their services and they will not be permitted to use the information for other purposes. They will only be allowed to use your information in the way in which we instruct them and as permitted by the General Data Protection Regulation and other relevant legislation.

Data over the internet

The internet is a global network, so it is possible for your data to travel internationally, which will include places outside of the European Economic Area. If you visit or shop at THERAV, your data will be processed in this away.

You acknowledge that the Internet is not a 100% secure medium for communication and, accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you send to us (or we send to you) via the Internet. We are not responsible for any damages which you, or others, may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of such information.

We take every precaution to protect your information. To this end, all personal information stored by us is kept on a server in a secure environment.

Like many websites, we also use "cookie" technology. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information. We use cookies to understand better how you interact with the site and our service, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the site, and to improve the site and our services.

By visiting THERAV with your computer set to accept cookies, you are consenting to the way we use our cookies, both on our Website and via other ways, we get in touch with you.

Storing your credit and debit card details

If you have elected to store your credit or debit card details with Vibrating Therapeutic Apparel, LLC, those details will appear automatically on the Payments page when you login and proceed to purchase a Product with us. To ensure the security of your credit and debit card details we:

will ask for your credit or debit card number on the Payments page: only the last four digits of your credit or debit card number, the expiry date of that credit or debit card, the name (as it appears on the credit or debit card) and card type will be visible to you on the Payments page. Of course, we use all of your credit or debit card information to process your order but we do not display this information on the Payments page in order to ensure that no-one can see it.
require a CV2 (card security) number: we will ask you to enter your CV2 number even when using the stored card function.

TheraV Mobile App Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is Vibrating Therapeutic Apparel, LLC's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app, TheraV."

We collect usage data from the TheraV app for the purpose of research in the field of phantom limb pain. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.
Location Data - Your location data is used locally on your device by the iOS/Android operating system to operate Bluetooth services. Additionally, your location data is used via the OpenWeatherAPI to get real-time information about weather. We do not store your location data in our database.

Email Address/Username - This is used to manage the TheraV account that you create on our mobile app.
Medical Information - We only save medical information that you explicitly provide to us via a text box or form on the TheraV app. We save user-supplied data about the type of amputation you have and your pain level before, during, and after using the ELIX.
App Usage Data - We record the state of your ELIX device with regards to level of vibration, type of vibration (constant/pulsing), duration of use, and time of use.

Your data is de-identified before analysis, meaning that your data is grouped together via an id number (instead of your email address or username) during and after analysis.

We use Amazon Web Services to store data. Amazon itself only hosts the data; they are not about to see it.
